CLIENT

Our client is a well-known energy and commodities focused business with operations spanning the US, Europe and Asia. They have enjoyed strong growth over the last five years and with a recently acquired strategic investment partner are now looking to accelerate this through further acquisitions. They are involved in the infrastructure, transport, logistics and trading of most energy products.

POSITION
 

This role will be located in the London office of the company where over 100 people are based.

The successful candidate will cover a varied workload to include advising on the groups global M&A and corporate finance matters as part of a team of four other lawyers worldwide. 

This will include but is not limited to managing deals, drafting and negotiation of documents, structuring transactions, advising senior members of the business and liaising with external advisers and counsel.

CANDIDATE
 

Energy or commodities experience is not a prerequisite for this role.

You will likely be working in a busy M&A department of a top ranked law firm and be common Law qualified with 2-4 PQE.

Ideally you will have covered either Public or Private M&A. Additional experience in corporate finance, banking or project development matters would be a plus.

In-house experience on a secondment or permanent basis is a plus.
