Securitisation/Structured Finance - 1-6 PQE London £Excellent

Our client is one of the world's largest and most prestigious law firms.

Their securitisation team sits as part of the wider finance group, and is compact, well managed and settled. They assist their clients in working with a wide range of securitised assets, including commercial and residential mortgages, trade receivables, peer-to-peer and other unsecured consumer lending, hire purchase and conditional sale contracts, and regulated concession agreements and permissions.

The work is high quality and usually partner led. It's a great place to learn, and rewards hard work and a common-sense, can do attitude. Associates benefit from a variety of work, and close partner contact.

The team is busy and growing. Although they have almost zero attrition to competitor law firms, a Senior Associate has recently moved in-house to a client and as a result they are looking for another Associate.

In this role, you will be:

• expected to assist/lead and negotiate transactions (with appropriate supervision and working with the wider team);
• responsible for drafting discrete pieces of legal advice for clients (with appropriate supervision);
• encouraged to adopt a client-facing role, building relationships with clients and identifying and acting on opportunities and providing prompt responses on request;
• plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks as appropriate and update supervising partner on progress;
• support the firm by building effective relationships with individuals and groups in and across offices;

This is a tremendous opportunity to work with a market leader. In order to be considered you will have:

• Trained and ideally have between one and six years' post-qualification experience in at a City or international firm with a well-regarded securitization practice;
• England & Wales qualification preferred - other commonwealth solicitors from top tier firms will be considered;
• Strong experience within securitisation and structured finance
• Strong basic legal skills, including drafting, writing, negotiation and project management;
• Willingness to learn and the ability to work hard; and
• A common sense, down-to-earth approach.
