Public Procurement Solicitor
London
Our client, a fantastic international City law firm is seeking an interim public procurement solicitor for 3 months+, starting as soon as possible.
The team's work is predominantly for public sector clients and regulated utilities, although we are also advise the private sector bidders on the application of the procurement rules. The procurement team's work spans a number of sectors, including real estate (working on regeneration projects), IT and telecommunications, financial services and energy and infrastructure.
The successful public procurement solicitor is likely to have upwards of 3 PQE solicitor with extensive experience of advising clients on the application of the public procurement rules, as they apply to both the public and regulated utilities sectors carrying out major projects. Additional experience of procurement litigation, state aid, freedom of information, and public sector powers issues would be advantageous, as would experience of drafting and negotiating complex contracts. Applications from candidates with relevant in-house experience would be welcome, although in-house experience is not a prerequisite. Individuals qualified in common law jurisdictions are welcome to apply.
