Job Details
We are seeking a junior legal counsel on behalf of our client, a privately owned group. We are looking for someone who is able to take ownership of tasks and liaise directly with the business on a variety of matters. They will have direct exposure to senior management at Group and local level, working in a small Head Office team and will initially report to the Group General Counsel.
In this role, you will be drafting and reviewing various sales contracts across all UK businesses (working closely with the Sales Directors in contract negotiations), drafting deeds of variation / amendment, advising on termination obligations. You will be supporting the General Counsel on the company’s annual insurance renewal – assisting with gathering data, assessing claims profile of Group, liaising with insurance brokers. You will be reviewing commercial lease agreements, advising on terms and ad hoc queries, preparing notices of termination.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 years’ PQE. Ideally coming from private practice, this is an amazing first step into a commercial focused in-house role. The ability to provide timely, succinct, commercial advice and juggle multiple priorities are key requirements for this position.
