Our client a Local Authority based in East London are seeking a Regeneration Projects Lawyer for three months initially.
The successful Property Regeneration Lawyer will be required to hold a complex and varied caseload from the outset. You will be required to possess the following skill set:
- Experience carrying a specialist regeneration caseload for an in house practice that services public sector clients and Council owned housing/ regeneration companies,
- Knowledge of local government and public law issues such as advising on powers of local authorities in relation to land disposals,
- Experience of complex title reports, development agreements, agreements for sale/lease conditional on planning, drafting and negotiating overage provisions,
- Ability to hand a caseload of acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant matters and general conveyancing,
- Provide advice on CPO’s.
As this is a Regeneration Property Projects Lawyer position the majority of the work undertaken will be on behalf of the council as a landowner, there will be some scope for the role to generate income.
Due to the interim nature of the role it is essential that you are available on short notice and possess a proven track record of delivering advice within this area. Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply, although candidates with previous public sector regeneration experience would be of particular interest.
