Acting for clients in providing commercial advice and services, this firm have ambitious growth plans. They have taken the best parts of both private practice and in-house work to create a unique business plan, where there are no barriers to progression, leaving the traditional Partnership model. They are offer a range of legal including niche specialisms where they are the only SRA accredited firm to carry out these services to an exciting client base. The goal is to open several offices, so the firm are looking to take on people with drive and ambition.

The Role

The firm are looking for a Packaging Solicitor, to join their office in Cambridge.

This entrepreneurial firm have created a niche specialism in Packaging Law and are now seeking interested and experienced fee earners who are open to exploring a new and exciting area of law.

This firm have a significant UK client which have provided them with a very busy caseload of up to 50 products a week, they have achieved this by being the only SRA accredited firm to undertake this type of specialist work.

It is a varied role which will include: Labelling compliance checks for brand new to established products ensuring the vital information meets legal labelling requirement, ensuring Artwork specifications meet the legal compliance requirements and writing articles to promote the products to ahead of them going to market.

The products themselves will vary significantly which will make for an exciting role. The role of the Solicitor within this department is to manage a team of 3 dedicated Paralegals running due diligence on their work - signing off on the products compliance before they go to mass production.

As this is niche area of law, this firm are not strict on the practice area you are currently in. They understand that there are transferable skills from a variety of areas including: Regulatory law, Employment Law, Commercial Property, General Inhouse Lawyers and Legal Counsel but are also open to applications from fee earners open to a new challenging area of law.

There is a busy caseload for the right person to come in and hit the ground running however full training will be provided to ensure future success as they are looking to build this team significantly. This is a great time to work alongside the Partners to develop this department meanwhile benefiting from outstanding progression prospects.

Requirements:

• You will have at least 2 years PQE +
• You will be an ambitious and motivated individual
• You should be proactive and keen to be involved in growing the firm
• Ideally you will have Employment, Regulatory, Commercial Property or general inhouse experience, however we welcome applications from other practice areas
• Salary will be based upon experience, with excellent benefits
