This leading US firm is right up there in terms of its reputation, global platform and its PEP. There is a requirement to bring in a leading international arbitration partner, or ideally a team, to be based in London. The firm has a top tier directory ranking for international arbitration across various jurisdictions. The market points to the superb teams in Paris and the US but the firm’s strength in this area in fact spans the globe. That said, in London the team is too small and there is a clear gap for a leading practitioner/team to plug in. Given the levels of profitability, incoming equity partners are looked at to bring a significant practice (and to run a practice of $5m+) although expectations for non-equity partners are somewhat lower. The firm offers a great platform and an excellent reputation and track record for arbitration work, a full service London office and access to a superb institutional client base. It operates a transparent meritocracy which makes it a compelling platform for highly successful partners.
