OVERVIEW
Due to significant growth and further projected growth, my client, a full service firm with a top tier Banking Practice are looking to recruit a 3-4 years's PQE banking associate to join their award-winning team in Manchester. Being ranked as one of the most active legal advisers in the local market by Experian & the legal directories, this is a monumental opportunity to join a firm that is quickly going from going from strength to strength.
THE ROLE
As a banking associate for this firm you will work alongside some of the most elite associates, partners and fee-earners in the industry. You will be an integral part of a future facing team who in 2017 were recognised for advising on approximately 50 deals with a cumulative value of over £5bn. The role is widely varied and you will undertake a broad diet of work, that will include, but not be limited to;
- Advising on a range of high-profile and complex transactions at present, including bridges to bond and equity take-outs.
- Strong mix of both lender and borrower work.
- Negotiate and draft facility agreements.
- Representing banks, financial institutions, debt funds, alternative lenders and private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be a 3-4 years' PQE qualified lawyer who is fiercely ambitious and commercially astute. You will be able to evidence a well-developed knowledge in banking and finance and have a strong interest to develop further in this area. A Strong academic background and excellent communication, client relations and team-working skills are essential.
