Financial Services Partner / Legal Director

Active vacancy for a regulatory specialist in an established, full-service firm due to an influx in level of work. The team focuses predominantly on the retail banking and consumer finance sectors, supporting an excellent client base on a wide range of regulatory matters.  

There is a small existing team of established partners and associates, and a collaborative wider financial services sector group which spans the firm’s other departments. The regulatory team covers both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Clients include most of the clearing banks as well as a range of overseas banks, challenger banks, building societies, mortgage lenders, P2P lenders and digital FS providers including payment services providers, online banks etc. FS is core to the firm overall and there is significant investment planned into the sector group.

A large client following is not required due to the team’s pipeline of work; there are substantial opportunities to network internally and generate new work from existing clients. However, candidates must have a pro-active and business development focused mindset in order to fully utilise the platform.

 The team is interested to talk to established partners who are considering a move to a new firm, as well as senior associate and legal director level candidates who might find their path to partnership is blocked, or who would prefer to achieve partnership elsewhere. The firm can offer a clear route to promotion or potentially immediate partnership under the right circumstances.
