A global financial services institution is seeking a senior lawyer with a background in corporate advisory or M&A for a varied role within the group corporate function of the business. This team provides corporate advice and assistance to all areas across the group function and across the wider bank including Head Office, Group Finance, Investor relations and Group Treasury & Risk.
Responsibilities will include:
- leading on transactional matters e.g acquisitions and disposals
- leading on ad hoc projects such as strategy updates, structural reform and senior managers regime
- Providing advice on UKLA listing rules, the Market abuse regulation and disclosure & transparency rules. You will also advise on company law issues arising out of the senior managers regime.
- providing corporate advice in relation to quarterly financials
As a UK qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE you will have a background in corporate advisory or M&A work. As this role will involve dealing with stakeholders across the business you will be a strong communicator with the ability to think on your feet. Strong academics are essential and ideally you will have completed your training at a top city law firm. A secondment or role within a financial services institution would be a plus.
