Prosecutions Lawyer

LAW Absolute are recruiting to a Prosecutions Lawyer role on behalf of a local authority based in North West London.  This position is being offered on an initial three month basis.

Our client is seeking a candidate with experience working in an Enforcement Team, ideally within the public sector. You will be required to carry a full and varied prosecution’s caseload including the following issues:

• Planning
• School attendance issues,
• Fraud,
• Food safety,
• Licensing and,
• POCA.

The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will need to attend Magistrates Court as and when required and, act as a lead on licensing issues, particularly relating to Licensing Sub Committee hearings.

Previous experience in licensing matters and attending licensing sub-committee hearings is essential.
