A major international firm is currently seeking a Data Protection Solicitor to join its well placed office in Manchester.

The Firm & The Team
- One of the world's largest firms with offices worldwide
- Handle extremely complex international matters from Manchester
- Working with FTSE 100 clients

The Role
- Opportunity to work as part of an industry leading data protection team across Manchester and Birmingham
- You will focus on complex data protection issues
- Delivery of data projects for clients including advice on data and privacy matters to new and existing clients, such as compliance programs and GDPR implementation support amongst others
- Assisting with data protection in a contractual/transactional context for example cloud procurements and other similar matters in a contractual context
- Assisting with business development activities in order to win new clients and to win data work from existing clients
- A proportion of time will be spent on drafting and negotiation; this may include an element of IT drafting more generally, but with the focus being primarily on data protection and privacy work.

The Candidate
- 1+ PQE qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
- Data Privacy experience is desirable
- Strong academics with an ambition to handle complex international work
