IP & Tech Disputes Lawyer - 12 month FTC - Leading UK Firm - 6+
Our client is recognised within the UK as being the leading technology and digital law firm. They are looking to bring on board an IP & Technology Disputes Lawyer to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months. The role is due to start in summer and there is also the option for this role to become a permanent fixture should that suit both parties.
The firms' clients range from digitally-focused and global technology businesses (including those within the FTSE 250 and Global Fortune 500) to venture backed companies and owner-managed businesses.
The department advise on all aspects of dispute resolution with a specific focus on ownership, exploitation and infringement of intellectual property rights and commercial disputes within the technology sector. Their remit covers copyright, design, trade mark and patent disputes as well as providing advice on IP implications of licensing agreements and corporate transactions.
The successful individual will be taking over a full caseload of a senior level associate who possesses a wealth of experience of intellectual property and IT disputes in terms of both litigation, registry proceedings and alternative dispute resolution within the IT and digital media industries. Focus areas include IP infringement, trade marks and branding, IP validity, defamation and tech disputes. They also frequently work on High Court and IPEC litigation.
Applying candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Upwards of 6 years' PQE
- Experience gained in a top tier private practice or equivalent in house exposure
- A commercial, detail and solutions focused approach
- Exposure to the above detailed IP and Tech Disputes matters
- Contentious and non-contentious IP experience (ideally tech focused). Some trade mark and patent experience is essential.
- The ability to work autonomously
