Job Details
The Firm has a dearth of outstanding lawyers recognised by Chambers and Legal 500 and they are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor (NQ to 4PQE) or experienced Legal Executive to join the Court of Protection team situated in their Kent Office.
The Role You will work as part of a team, providing support to the Partners and managing an independent caseload. You will be providing advice within the context of the Mental Capacity Act, dealing with brain injured and vulnerable clients. You will manage significant damages awards and provide support for clients who have ongoing Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence claims. The role will also encompass the management of Property and Affairs Deputy-ships, preparation of Personal Injury Trusts and Statutory Wills as well as addressing the needs of disabled clients (property purchases & adaptations).
You will regularly engage and visit with clients and be attuned to their lifestyle requirements, overseeing budgets and liaising with treatment providers. You will demonstrate previous Court of Protection experience, excellent communication, numeracy and IT skills.
