The Opportunity

The organisation is looking for a litigator to join the legal team. The role is a rare opportunity for an individual with a litigation background who is looking to move into a broader in-house position, which will certainly encompass a range of non-contentious work. You will have the opportunity to learn and manage commercial contracts as well as other day to day matters including IP, privacy, marketing and litigation. As part of a small but highly respected legal team, you will work closely with the business, developing relationships across both head office and the company's network of hospitals.

About You

A litigation background is key; however, paramount is a desire to move in-house and to broaden your skill-set, ultimately becoming a well-rounded in-house lawyer. Any experience acting for hospitals or the healthcare sector being helpful, but is not essential. Key is having both strong commercial acumen as well as the ability to operate with the sensitivity a great deal of the work will require. You must be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get involved, taking the lead on legal matters and advice to the wider business on day to day matters. Strong interpersonal skills, a commercial approach and can-do approach are also key.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate sensitively through highly complex matters are also essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected business in a role which will truly broaden your experience.
