Your new company
One of the world's biggest banks with an international presence. The London branch has been present in London for over 20 years and has allowed the bank to create a strong presence in the London banking market.
Your new role
Your role as the Sole Counsel will be to act as the first point of contact on legal matters for the Bank. This will involve keeping up to date with both legislative and regulatory change for the business. This will also involve implementing new policies and procedures for the Bank's legal framework. You will also work on banking agreements, including, but not limited to, loan and security documentation, NDAs, debt issuances, ISDAs and netting agreements. You will also gain exposure to other types of work such as litigation, running training sessions and stakeholder management.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (common law qualified Solicitors will also be considered), with, as a guide, 2-5 years PQE. You will be able to work autonomously and able to communicate with people of all levels within the business. You will have up to date legal and regulatory knowledge, and awareness of policy developments. A candidate with Mandarin language skills is preferable, but not essential.
