Legal Counsel

A leading automotive business is seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel to join the team at their Head Office in Milton Keynes.

The Legal Counsel position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.

A major automotive manufacturer is seeking to recruit a commercial lawyer to join the team as Legal Counsel at their Head Office in Milton Keynes. Working alongside the Head of Legal and you will provide legal advice to key stakeholders across all areas of the business as well as helping to drive critical change throughout the various departments.

The business is a global operator and part of a major Group, featuring some of the best automotive brands in the world.

The Role

The Legal Counsel will join a close-knit team having the chance to provide active, hands on legal advice to all areas of the business, involved in key projects from the outset, as well as gaining management experience. You will be supported by a Head of Legal who knows the business well, a paralegal and a superb commercial law firm providing on-hand advice as well as the legal teams in different businesses across the Group. The Legal Counsel's primary duties include:

- Drafting, reviewing and advising on a variety of commercial contracts;
- Providing advice on disputes and litigation;
- GDPR and compliance advice;
- IP advice;
- Education and training for non-legal business functions; and
- Liaising with the marketing and sales teams, providing commercial advice in response to any ad hoc queries.

The Person

You will be a 1-5 PQE lawyer with good commercial experience and the ability to foster and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders. This role is well-suited to lawyers with experience in commercial contracts, commercial litigation or corporate looking to grow into an in-house role and take on a more general commercial position and is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading global automotive company.
