Are you an experienced Childcare Lawyer or an established Local Authority Locum Lawyer looking for your next opportunity?
A large council legal team in Oxfordshire is looking to recruit an interim Childcare Lawyer on an on-going basis, to assist them whilst they embark on their own permanent recruitment drive.
Working as part of the People Directorate you will be responsible for advising on all aspects of public childcare law, as well undertaking your own advocacy.
The issues of the cases will include: Neglect, Domestic Violence, Drug and Alcohol abuse, FGM, Non -accidental injury, Sexual Abuse and Human Rights Issues.
In addition to this, you will provide advice to the council's social work team as well as general legal support throughout the council.
It is important that you have:
- A proven background in public or private child care law
- Have dealt with a wide range of cases, and are therefore able to apply this experience quickly and efficiently
- Have a positive attitude, and are quick to learn
- Thrive in an intellectually stimulating place
The role is due to start asap and is expected to run for 3 months. An hourly rate of between £35 and £45 per hour (inside IR35) is offered for this post.
