Commercial property junior partner with PRS, BTR sector expertise required at leading law firm, London.
This leading international law firm has arguably the strongest and best integrated all round real estate offering across Europe – its’ client base encompasses traditional real estate brand-name blue chips, banks, alternative lenders, institutional investors, private equity and inward investors (including sovereigns) and infrastructure and residential developers.
The real estate team is a core practice area for the firm and considers that this, combined with its global reach and broad practice spread, puts it into a strong position to weather the inevitable vagaries of the domestic commercial property market far better than most.
Nevertheless, almost regardless of the potential pitfalls which may arise from the wider economy, the firm considers that the Private Rental Sector (PRS) and Build to Rent (BTR), as well as the related area of social housing will, for political/ population growth reasons, continue to grow strongly across the UK.
Thanks to its strong investment, infrastructure and house builder client base the real estate team has already seen a meteoric rise in its PRS, BTR and student accommodation matters and the firm is keen to reinforce this lead with an additional connected lateral who can help it continue to benefit as these asset classes continue to transform from being niche market “bit players” to core investment portfolios.
