gmk was founded in 1998 by Jon Garrett and Lynne McCarroll, both of whom qualified as solicitors before moving into legal recruitment in the early 1990’s.

As legal recruitment specialists, we act for all major law firms (both UK and US) and can keep you up to date on all roles currently on the market. Market knowledge gained since 1998 means we can advise you on the difference between firms, the work on offer, size and structure of the team, and the working culture and practices the firm adopts.

We take time to get to know our clients, to understand their needs and requirements, and have built up an extensive range of contacts amongst partners, other lawyers, and human resources personnel, enabling us to source as many positions as possible, to give you as much choice as possible.

For our candidates we provide an individual service tailored to each unique situation. Whatever level of pqe you are, we can offer you a personal service, focused on your skills and career aspirations.
