Derivatives Lawyer – Leading European Investment Bank, 6m Contract
Our client, a leading European investment bank, is looking for an experienced lawyer to join their derivatives legal team initially on a 3-6 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Provision of legal structuring, advisory, transaction execution, project and other legal support in respect of a broad range of fixed income and commodity derivatives and structured products.
- Non-quantitative structuring responsibilities.
- Coordinating execution of transactions by working with clients and structurers/traders, liaising with other relevant third parties.
- Reviewing term sheets and drafting confirmations and other documentation for structured transactions and reviewing transaction documentation prepared by external legal advisers.
- Post-trade transaction work.
- Preparing and presenting appropriate contributions in relation to relevant business areas.
- Monitoring ongoing legal, regulatory and market developments affecting relevant business areas.
- Representing the bank in the European region on various local/regional industry bodies.
- Where appropriate, assisting, involving and communicating with other internal functions and other teams within the legal department
- Addressing requests from counterparties to amend transaction documentation as a result of preparations for Brexit
Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ PQE from a law firm or investment bank
- Primary experience in derivatives and/or structured products
