THE ROLE

For an associate 3pqe+ to join the asset management/funds team.

The team deals with asset management M&A, fund establishment both private market and listed funds, institutional investment into funds and secondary transactions in fund interests, commercial contract work, including IMA's and outsourcing contracts, regulatory advice to asset managers and their clients.

The strong client base includes some of the UK's leading asset managers, insurers, pension funds and banks, with a strong international flavour, and this client base and the work that the firm is doing for them will continue to grow.

They also have a strong presence in the fintech sector.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you will have relevant experience working with asset managers or on funds transactions, and knowledge of the regulatory backdrop and reasonable understanding of partnership law.

With an interest in developing your expertise in this area, you will handle a mix of transactional and advisory work, and join a fast moving team in a fast moving environment for a practice in growth mode.

While the team is ideally looking for a 3pqe + lawyer, 4-6pqe would be ideal and more senior candidates will also be of interest.

You will be able to a lead role on a wide range of transactional work, with exposure to all aspects of corporate and partnership transactions, including some public company work, often in a fund context, but combined with regulatory advice that is intrinsic in work in the sector.

You will need good knowledge of asset management and funds transactions and ideally have experience of working with UK and international clients in the financial services sector.
