Are you looking for a role that is genuinely different to the majority of in-house roles? One in which you will get to deal with a wide range of legal issues, often faced with complex problems that have no immediately obvious answer? If so, then this might be worth a look...
In short, this role would see you employed by a Technology Investment Group, reporting directly to the Group Head of M&A. All relatively straightforward so far.
Where things start to get a bit unusual is the fact that the majority of the role will relate to a number of the principal's personal investments, including (for example) ownership of a luxury resort. What this means from a legal perspective is that there is an array of complex, interesting and challenging work which might include M&A, litigation, construction, real estate, commercial partnerships, financing and literally anything else that might crop up when dealing with sophisticated development projects.
The Group Head of M&A is looking for a junior lawyer with a strong suit in a relevant practice area (ideally projects, project finance, REF, corporate or litigation). It is not expected that a candidate at this level will have much experience in most of the areas that the role will touch upon - what's important is general aptitude and a willingness to tackle new challenges head on.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' PQE gained at a magic circle, silver circle or US firm (or equivalent) in one of the practice areas listed above. Equally important is evidence of a high level of numeracy/analytic skills, most likely by way of strong academic performance in maths/science subjects.
In return, you'll receive a salary and benefits package above market rate, in addition to a genuine opportunity to further your career within a dynamic, growing organisation.
