Senior Manager | Transaction Tax & SPA's

The transaction tax practice of a global accounting firm are looking to appoint a Tax Accountant or Lawyer between 2-4 PQE to work within a specialist team focusing on the tax aspects of SPA pricing mechanisms in M&A transactions. The team currently consists of 8 people who split their time between tax SPA and more general M&A work (tax diligence and structuring).

You will have a clear understanding of the M&A process, ideally with both private equity and corporate transaction experience, who would split their time 50/50 between general M&A tax work and specialist tax SPA work. You should also have a strong tax technical background and working knowledge of SPAs or SPA pricing mechanisms - those who have a working knowledge of warranty and indemnity insurance and specific transaction tax insurance would be of interest.

The team works closely with other parts of the firm so will have good visibility amongst a wide selection of heavyweight Partners and Directors with plenty of opportunity for growth themselves.

You will have had experience of advising on M&A transactions within the Big 4 or a major law firm and be comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for key work streams.

This is a unique appointment for someone looking to do something different to the ordinary M&A Tax Advisor, while building a platform for progressing themselves into Director and partnership level if they wish.
