Heavyweight US Firm in London: IP Litigation Associates (1-5 PQE) – ‘Cravath’ Salary

Our client is a giant US firm that is looking to expand its IP Litigation practice in London by welcoming associates with between 1 and 5 years of PQE to join the team.

The IP Litigation team’s work is pinpointed within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, as the practice involves providing strategic product lifecycle advice, co-ordinating global IP defence cases and patent litigation.  The role is very much patent litigation-focussed, as associates advise on molecule litigation against biologics, vaccines, antibodies and gene therapies.

Coupled with the scope and calibre of work on offer, the firm remunerates associates with salaries pegged at the ‘Cravath’ scale, which is the absolute highest on offer in the market at present – a candidate with 1 PQE can expect a salary of around £150,000, and a candidate with 5 PQE can anticipate a figure of around £215,000.

Applications are welcome from candidates with prior experience gained at a leading international firm in London.  The candidate ought to have contentious IP experience as a minimum requirement, but patent litigation-specific experience is valuable.  Candidates that are coming from a science/life sciences-type background are especially encouraged to express interest.
