One of the leading mobile phone network providers in the UK is looking for an In-house legal counsel for a 12month FTC. The role itself will sit within the legal team which supports sales. There is a much wider team working across commercial contracts, IP, employment, litigation, consumer and property law.

The In-house legal counsel - 12 month FTC

The successful lawyer will excel as an advisor to the company on legal issues impacting the UK business particularly in relation to:
(i) enterprise/public sector agreements
(ii) partner/reseller agreements
(iii) franchising agreements/structures
(iv) distribution agreements
(v) general IT and technology supply agreements and
(vi) digital services agreements and (B) as a trusted adviser to the Sales Directorate and Digital Directorate.

This will mean leading projects and taking responsibility to deliver results for the company, advising clients on known issues and horizon scanning on behalf of clients in order to help them prepare for new challenges. It will also involve working collaboratively with other members of the legal team.

The Lawyer

The successful candidate will be a very bright, well trained and driven lawyer with a sound knowledge of contract (ideally with a TMT sales focus), data protection law, joint ventures, and (preferably) a basic knowledge of Telco regulation and competition law. You will have a genuine personal interest in how services (old and new) can deliver great customer experience.
