Mid-Level Lawyer (2+ yrs.) for Global Financial Services Organisation

Our client is looking to hire a mid-level lawyer to join their team in their Central London office.

This role will sit within the fund and asset-servicing team, at the heart of our client’s business, so ideally, we are looking for a lawyer that has experience in this area. The successful candidate will assist with the drafting and review of a wide vary of commercial contracts to support the business.

Specifically, we are looking for a lawyer that has experience with some/all the following:

• Clearing/derivatives;
• General funds work and a knowledge of associated regulations (e.g. AIFMD and UCITS V);
• Custody;
• Securities financing documentation;
• Prime brokerage.

Once in the role, you will carry out a broad range of work:

• Assisting in the development of new products;
• Co-ordinating international deals with various legal and business teams;
• Negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts;
• Advising where necessary about current and future regulation.

You may come from one of the City’s top firms or already be in-house, but either way, you must be UK qualified.

This role would suit a strong communicator – that can forge strong bonds with both the established legal team and all levels of management throughout the organisation. You must also feel comfortable working autonomously when required and enjoy taking ownership of projects.
