Privacy Lawyer – Life Sciences – Slough - Contract

The Client

Our client is a major US-headquartered life sciences company, based in Slough. They need a data protection lawyer to join for a 6-12 month contract (minimum). It’s ideal for anyone looking to work outside of central London in a high-calibre and sophisticated legal team.

The Role

You will be responsible for a broad range of work, supporting the needs of the business. Examples of responsibilities include;

• Ensuring that data protection risks are identified and personal information processing activities by all relevant companies and businesses align with the company’s Privacy principles and applicable Privacy laws and regulations, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and national regulations or applicable codes of conduct/guidance;
• Supporting internal company committees to identify and highlight Privacy risks;
• Liaising with business process owners, building an understanding of Privacy risks related to their personal information processing activities and provides advice on how to mitigate these risks, by embedding Privacy into the design of business processes; and
• Assisting the business in any privacy-related commercial decisions.

About You

You should:

• Have top law firm training;
• Have in-house experience (not necessarily in life sciences); and
• Be a UK qualified lawyer.
