Job Details

Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor required to join this top ranked practice based in Leeds Central.

The firm

This Top 100 firm has experienced significant growth in the last 24 months with the hire of several Partners into their flourishing London office. They have several offices nationally and a growing international presence. They have a different culture compared to that of most City practices; they have a much more relaxed, collaborative, and forward-thinking culture. Staff value more in the way of work-life balance and flexibility.

They invest heavily in their workforce and are very progressive, their learning and development programme is widely respected in the legal sector and has been recognised by several industry awards. They are a cohesive, inclusive, and entrepreneurial organisation.

The firm has a San Francisco office; this office reinforces both its position as a leading US/UK inward investment specialist, and its cross-border M&A and international private wealth practices.

The role

The firm is seeking to hire a Construction Solicitor (Non-Contentious) with at least 5 years PQE.

The specialist Construction team provides a comprehensive range of construction law solutions across the wide spectrum of projects undertaken in the construction industry. You will work as part of a highly ranked department; you will deal with a wide range of work, making for a more interesting role. The work will vary from project-specific EPC and EPCM contracts to multi-party and collaborative working arrangements and encompass NEC and traditional JCT contracts.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Construction Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE (there is no upper limit in terms of experience).
  • The caseload will include but not be limited to; procurement and contracting strategies, funding and financing agreements, contract tendering, frameworks and security documentation including advance payment bonds.
  • It is important to highlight that the firm may look at someone looking to build on their real estate experience or transfer from contentious construction.
  • An excellent eye for detail is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required
  • Salary is above market rate depending on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package
