The Opportunity 

The company now has a new opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to join their legal team, based in central London. You will be responsible for negotiating and drafting contracts, particularly relating to subscriptions and events, as well as liaising with external partners to identify, monitor, research and resolve commercial issues and to ensure that risk to the company is kept low. The business employs some of the brightest minds in this industry and you will need to be able to navigate ands support this as well as successfully drive legal agendas through the overall business. You will have the opportunity to develop the role and work closely with the marketing and research teams.

About You

This is a unique opportunity for a technically astute commercial/IP lawyer who enjoys a degree of academic rigour within a commercial environment. A solid academic background is key, and you will need to have trained with a top City law firm. Prior in-house experience is not essential; however, a keen desire to provide excellent legal work in a commercial environment is key. You will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent attention. This role will allow you to work autonomously and within a team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit and supportive legal team within a highly respected international business, head-quartered in London.
