Our client is a market leading company in the growing world of esports. The business is operating as a mature start up and has been around for over 10 years. Its mission is to become the first globally recognised lifestyle brand emerging from esports. The successful candidate will be an experienced and enthusiastic commercial lawyer with strong IP, licencing and brand protection experience.

You will work as their Head of Legal and report to the CEO and lead the legal function, including the management of legal interns. The role will vary depending on the needs of the team but the environment will be supportive and fast paced. You will work closely with the gaming, partnerships, marketing and product teams on a number of projects. You will be expected to negotiate and draft a range of agreements including: player contracts, sponsorship/partnership agreements, supplier contracts and NDA's. There is a huge focus on apparel currently and some very exciting projects in the pipeline.

The role will suit an ambitious lawyer with at least x years' of post qualification experience. This experience will be broad with a commercial focus as you will be expected to negotiate and draft a high volume of contracts. You will also have strong grounding in IP and brand protection. Some fundraising experience in series A/B investments would be desirable but not essential. You must be flexible, robust and able to critically review and amend policies and precedents with minimal supervision.
