Legal Counsel ● Pharmaceutical Sector

We are acting for a highly respected client operating in the pharmaceutical sector. They are now seeking a UK qualified lawyer with pharmaceutical industry experience to join their small in-house legal team based in Central London. This is a broad ranging role in a well-balanced working environment that would suit an adaptable pharmaceutical sector lawyer.

Reporting to the Legal Director, you will work as the second member of the legal team and provide wide-ranging advice/support on legal and compliance issues across all areas of activity. On the legal front this will include advising on areas such as: commercial contracts; competition; IP; data protection; dispute management; public law and monitoring/advising on legislative developments. You will also take the lead on internal Compliance issues including advising on and further developing internal policies/procedures and providing training.

Practical, flexible and commercially minded, you will ideally already have spent time working in-house. You should be familiar with the workings of the UK pharmaceutical market and have experience drafting/advising on company policies. Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills will be important as you will regularly interface with key stakeholders.

In addition to a broad variety of work in what is a very well-balanced Central London working environment, our client is offering a salary that is expected to be to c.£80k plus a bonus and a range of fringe benefits.
