Our 3 partner team has an opportunity for a lawyer to join the team in Newcastle where post qualification experience is secondary to the desire to build, or continue to build, a specialism necessary to work in the rail industry.
What will you be doing?
Working on high value, major and high profile rail franchising and rolling stock deals. The clients are mainly train operators or rolling stock manufacturers.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
We're interested in seeing applications from lawyers with around one year's post qualification experience or with at least 4 years' post qualification experience in either corporate or commercial law, gained at a City or large regional firm. Whilst a background in rail would be of interest, it is by no means essential, what is essential is a willingness and enthusiasm to develop the specialist skills necessary for working in the rail industry.
Whatever your experience level, you'll need excellent drafting skills, a sense of commercial pragmatism, a bright mind and a strong team ethos to help further develop the team's client base. And you'll be motivated to participate in business development that helps to raise the team's profile and network.
