Broad In-House Legal Counsel Role - Investment Products

Our client is a major financial services institution and we have been instructed to search for a junior to mid-level lawyer to join their investment products team. The successful candidate will support the business in relation to the provision and distribution of wealth and investment products to its retail investors, as well as advise on wider commercial, legal and regulatory issues that may impact on the business.




The focus of the work will be very broad and advisory in nature. Whilst some regulatory knowledge (e.g. COBS and FCA Handbook) would be helpful, our client is very open to considering candidates from a diverse range of skill-sets. For example, the role could suit someone from an in-house regulatory risk role but equally it could be a great fit for a corporate transactional lawyer in private practice who is looking to escape the deal churn and move into a more varied, advisory function.




We are prepared to consider candidates from NQ level up to those with around 4 years' PQE as our client is able to be flexible and delegate responsibility and provide training accordingly. It is more important that they find someone who is the right fit personally and who is excited by the opportunity to learn and broaden their skill-set.
