Lawyer for Global Heavily Tech-Driven Brokerage Company, NQ-2yrs

We are partnering with a long-standing and truly global brokerage company that sits at the cutting edge of the technology sector.  This company offers the full range of brokerage services (voice, hybrid, electronic) across the financial services and real estate markets, as well as offering innovative financial technology solutions, and providing market data and analytics.

Due to an internal promotion, a junior lawyer in the team is moving to one of their offices abroad and we are now looking to replace this person.  More specifically we are looking for a newly qualified lawyer up to 2 years’ PQE either from private practice or an in-house team.

The role will primarily involve corporate and commercial legal work to assist with the establishment of new and existing relationships between our client and its clients across EMEA, and from time to time other regions and jurisdictions outside of EMEA:

• Commercial – reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements (introducing broker agreements, brokerage rates agreements, commission sharing and netting agreements, terms of business, confidentiality agreements, intra group agreements, bank guarantees, engagement letters and marketing agreements), and providing legal advice on business issues;
• M & A – periodically assisting the M & A practice as part of a team, including confidentiality, SPA and related documents;
• Projects – periodically being involved in new corporate projects, which may include new offices, internal reorganisations and joint ventures.

Once in the role you will enjoy regular interaction with senior business people and management across the front and back office, in a visible role that provides support across the legal team of 7 lawyers.

This role would suit someone who is a self-starter, enjoys working in a fast paced environment and thinking on their feet.
