Education Legal Director / Partner with 5 - 8 years PQE required to join a leading legal department in the heart of Central London. This is a great opportunity for an existing Partner in another reputable firm or a Senior Associate/Legal Director with a practice looking for that step up into Partnership.

The Role

This expert team are leading the field when it comes to advising all types of maintained Schools, Academies and Multi Academy Trusts.

The workload will relate to contracts/procurement, employment, exclusions, admissions, parent complaints, discrimination cases, capital works, construction and expansion, land/building & lettings, data protection & GDPR, safeguarding and crisis management.

As well as the above the team need a specialist in providing governance advice, including company/charity law, managing conflicts of interest, governance reviews and strategic support for Trust Boards and company secretarial support

The firm will offer support in growing the practice with backing from the Partners in the well established Education department.

Requirements:

  • England & Wales qualified Education Legal Director/Partner with 5-8 years PQE.
  • Strong experience in Education law practice acting on behalf of schools, academies and other educational bodies.
  • Attention to detail and able to see issues from a commercial perspective.
  • Keen, driven and ambitious attitude to provide the highest levels of services to clients
