Elevate is recruiting for a Regulatory Lawyer with at least 4 years PQE, to work for an International Law Firm on a 6- month contract in London. The successful candidate must have experience of either retail banking, payments and/or consumer finance regulatory and commercial matters from a Top Tier Law firm.

Key duties:

• Supporting on a variety of retail banking, payments and consumer finance regulatory and commercial matters.
• Working with banks, lenders, payment innovators and retailers to keep on top of regulatory change affecting the banking and payments industry.
• Assisting clients launch new products, establish new operations, carry out compliance audits and engaging with regulators and customers.
• Liaising with lawyers on the other side and local counsel.
• Facilitating escalation and resolution of issues.
• Managing projects to improve contracting efficiency, cost effectiveness, and knowledge sharing.

Essential experience and skills for success:

• A minimum of 4 years PQE working in the Regulatory team of a Leading Law Firm.
• Experience of the regulatory regime.
• Experience of either retail banking, payments or Consumer finance.
• Proven ability to work in a client-centric, deadline driven environment.
• Dependable, responsive, and committed to producing high quality work.
• Flexible, and willing to pitch in on matters and projects to better serve our clients, even if the work falls outside your normal scope of duties.
• Excellent written skills, particularly depicting complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Qualifications:

• UK or Commonwealth Qualified Lawyer.
