Senior Employment Solicitor/Barrister

Our client acts for a wide range of long-standing clients in both the public and private sectors, including all forms of NHS organisations, governmental and regulatory bodies, registered providers, insurers, defence organisations, independent healthcare providers, charities and GP practices.

THE ROLE

The firm is recruiting a Senior Employment Solicitor/Barrister.

The team handles hundreds of Employment Tribunal claims each year, the majority of which proceed to a full hearing and in many of which the firm's clients are represented by the team's in-house advocates. Our client is looking for an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate to represent Respondent clients at Employment Tribunal hearings, from preliminary case management hearings through to complex, multi-day final hearings.

THE CANDIDATE

The candidate should have:-

• good client handling skills;
• excellent technical employment law knowledge, and be;
• able to work well with other team members.

Suitable candidates will be operating at Senior Solicitor of at least 4pqe/Barrister level with extensive advocacy expertise.

Whilst previous experience in the field of healthcare or public sector is strongly preferred, it is not essential.

Candidates will however be expected to be able to demonstrate at interview that they are self-motivated and
commercially minded, as well as having good interpersonal skills and being able to work effectively in teams.
