Senior Corporate Counsel - Middle East

Our client:

A multi-billion dollar US global telecommunications and technology business.

Position Overview

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, structure and draft commercial contracts with customers, channel partners and services partners, including customer tenders, trial and evaluation agreements, sales and license agreements, services agreements, and reseller and channel distribution agreements, working in coordination with the Sales, Partners, Services, Commercial Management and Finance functions
• Review, negotiate, structure and draft commercial contracts with regional suppliers and vendors, working in coordination with local Procurement and regional primes
• Support regional corporate administration activities (in conjunction with US corporate and outside counsel)
• Assist with developing or revising regional policies or processes to ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements
• Provide education, training and awareness for regional employees on compliance-related matters
• Assist in supervision of regional litigation and regulatory matters, including management of outside counsel

Experience Required:

• Broad based experience in corporate and commercial law matters with exposure to IT/Telco sectors, with either a leading law firm or the corporate legal department of a US-based multinational or large publicly-listed company.
• Prior experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred. Significant experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, preferably in several jurisdictions in EMEA.
