Tax Partner – Entrepreneurial Mid-Sized Firm
Opportunity to be the first tax partner in a growing mid-sized firm. Most of this firm’s work is corporate in nature with support in other key areas, so a tax partner would have plenty of cross-referral opportunities.
The firm’s client base is broad and includes businesses in sectors such as oil & gas, technology, fin tech, HNWIs, retail and fin tech. Their clients are highly international, mainly entrepreneurs and SMEs; active and loyal clients who have a range of complex requirements.
The firm is in expansion mode, having made some key hires and set some ambitious yet realistic goals for the coming years. They are based in stunning offices in a prime Central London location.
Candidates are likely to come from a small or mid-sized firm environment and be used to the kind of client base outlined above, although the firm will also of course be happy to speak to candidates from a larger firm who have a genuine desire to join a boutique. Indeed, they consider their size to be an attractive proposition for City clients as they can be competitive on price while still offering a high-quality service and an international network.
Established corporate tax partners who are looking for a collegiate and supportive environment are encouraged to get in touch; this firm is proving popular due to its open and friendly culture, and there are opportunities to join the equity in the short to medium term.
This could also be an interesting opportunity for an entrepreneurial Counsel or Senior Associate level candidate who is looking for a firm which will offer immediate partnership.
As the first tax partner in the team, this individual will be the go-to specialist for the firm’s clients and handle all the work that is referred internally. This is not however sufficient to make up a busy practice and so individuals will need to have their own client base. The firm is relatively open-minded as to the level of following required and they are open to conversations with all talented individuals interested in exploring their options.
