There is some work being referred in to this firm, although not enough to keep a partner busy, so you will need to have your own connections and relationships to supplement this.

It is a talented group of partners and associates, drawn from a wide range of firm backgrounds, so is a good platform from which to develop an insolvency desk.

The firm handles a substantial amount of cross border work, both transactional and disputes, and has several international desks. Most of their commercial disputes work is international, for example, and they are accustomed to competing with much larger firms.  

There is plenty of admin, paralegal and secretarial support, and they are housed in modern City premises.

The existing insolvency partner is moving on, so there is a huge opportunity to entrench yourself into an interesting firm. The current insolvency practice consists of a mixture of contentious and non-contentious matters and includes high value, complex cases and transactions.
