Your new role
An exceptional in-house 16 month FTC covering maternity leave. This interim in-house role will involve providing advice to the whole media business on digital media and technology matters. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a range of business-critical agreements to all aspects of digital and web publishing such as affiliate deals, social media and commercial and digital publishing relationships. Other agreements, including equipment procurement, maintenance, hosting, software licences and SaaS, outsourcing, data licences and services agreements. Working alongside the advertising team, you will support on adtech, programmatic, OBA and ad blocking. You will advise on new digital product or service launches with an emphasis on consumer law, data protection, advertising and other compliance issues.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified lawyer likely to have 5-10 years' PQE (as a guide only) with a strong academic background and a high-quality training contract. Experience gained in private practice or in-house include technology contracts, digital media, publishing, social media, apps and e-CRM. Knowledge of programmatic advertising technologies would be advantageous. You should also have core understanding of data protection in print and digital activities. A solid understanding of contract and intellectual property is essential. You will be accustomed to building relationships across the business and be commercially focused.
