Business Development Focus – Venture Capital and PE Funds – US Firm (2-5 PQE)

This is an exciting position for a commercially-minded mid-level Funds Associate to make a real impact on the growth of the practice at this high-profile US firm in London.

The firm is looking to expand the Funds team, which has been built from scratch over the last few years, into a further position of strength in the London and European market.  There is a very strong entrepreneurial spirit in the team and this extends from the Partners to the most junior members.   

The team is stand-alone and does not rely on work coming in from the firm’s US offices, although it leverages its wider reputation and standing in certain industries such as technology, venture capital and private equity to provide a flow of instructions on both cutting edge big ticket multi-million dollar fund raisings, and smaller advisory matters on which Associates are expected to lead.

It is expected that the incoming Associate will have a large focus on business development, and the Partners are extremely supportive and encouraging in their efforts to include Associates in all networking events and new client initiatives. 

This is an exciting time to join the team, and will provide invaluable experience to any ambitious Associate who can see the value of broadening their skill set beyond the normal technical legal focus.  The firm also remunerates its Associates at US rates, with an attainable and attractive hours target/bonus structure that means it is amongst the highest paying firms in the market whilst retaining a positive work/life balance not normally found in the US firm sector.
