Head of Sport (Corporate)

Corporate & commercial sports law. Excellent opportunity for senior lawyer to head team.

Fantastic opportunity to join this Legal 500 rated practice to head the Corporate/Commercial unit of the practice. With an array of household name sports clients, the quality of work is second to none. Sports clients include numerous sporting clubs and governing bodies, including The Premier League and football clubs across various of the leagues. As well as the corporate side, the successful individual will also take responsibility for commercial work including commercial contracts, IP, IT and joint ventures.

An outgoing personality and a real interest in sport is essential. In addition to the sports clients, the firm also undertakes work on behalf of partnerships, charities and work is varied involving corporate start-ups, financing arrangements, M&A, working for individuals, SMEs and larger companies.

The incoming head will also be expected to business develop within the local community and region. Interested lawyers must be ambitious, self-motivated and driven, capable of building strong relationships with clients and referrers. You will have considerable autonomy and must be able to work closely with other senior lawyers within the practice and contribute effectively to the marketing and networking activities of the firm as a whole. In addition, you must enjoy people management as you will inherit more junior team members.
