Immigration Paralegal (12 month FTC)

Our client is an independent law firm with an excellent reputation; they are seeking a paralegal to join their private client/immigration team in London on a 12 month fixed term contract. The team provide specialist legal advice on the whole spectrum of private and business issues, helping clients to resolve their UK immigration requirements. The purpose of this role is to provide paralegal support and legal research to fee-earners within the Immigration Team - this will include:

*Assisting in the preparation of a wide-range of immigration visa applications, including Tier 1 (Investor); Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), Tier 2 (General), Long Residence, and EEA applications.

*Preparing application forms for immigration visa applications.

*Carrying out legal research in all areas of Immigration law.

*Drafting and proofreading legal documents.

*Analysing and summarising complex issues; finding solutions and communicating them effectively.

*Providing support to fee-earners on cases through investigations, drafting, research and analysis.

*Preparing bundles/files.

*Assisting in preparing for client meetings, attending client meetings alongside other fee-earners and producing attendance notes as requested.

*Providing general administrative support as required.

At least 6 months previous paralegal experience is required and experience of assisting on domestic immigration matters would be preferred.

The role is paying between £24,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
