A leading business in the education sector is seeking an interim Commercial and Data Protection lawyer to join the team for a 10 month period to help ensure all commercial contracts are GDPR compliant and advise the business moving forward.
The Role
The interim Commercial and Data Protection lawyer will review, amend and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements to ensure they are GDPR compliant. The majority of these agreements relate to supplier contracts and collaboration agreements. This is a highly autonomous role and will include:
· To drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of Commercial contracts to ensure they are compliant with the GDPR;
· reviewing and negotiating existing Commercial contracts to ensure the business is compliant with GDPR;
· reviewing variation agreements sent by external suppliers; and
· providing of ad hoc legal advice to all areas of the business on GDPR issues and general commercial law.
You will attend meetings with senior staff to offer guidance and support as and when required, liaising with Accountants, Human Resources, intellectual property experts, VAT specialists.
The Person
You will be a qualified lawyer with strong data protection and commercial contracts experience, available as soon as possible.
