Private Client specialist

Private Client Solicitor / ILEX, Leeds

Highly rated and progressive Leeds based firm seeks private client lawyer to expand its fast-growing team.

Working closely with senior lawyers in the team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of private client working including Court of Protection, Powers of Attorney, Tax Planning, Trusts, Wills and Estate Planning and Care fees. You'll be acting for clients, often classed as vulnerable, and will be responsible for drafting a variety of private client documents in addition to progressing court and benefit assessment processes including attendance at court and assessment meetings.

The firm is keen to hear from qualified Solicitors (NQ+) or Legal Executives that have hands-on experience of dealing with Wills, Trusts and Probate and/or Court of Protection. Aside from the above technical experience, you will ideally enjoy working in a team environment and be able to communicate with a diverse range of people; be pro-active and have excellent time management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines; and be passionate about developing your reputation as a Private Client specialist.

Whilst not a prerequisite, if you have an existing network of professional and charity contacts, an awareness of investment products and financial management, or have started the process to become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, this will be a highly beneficial to the application.
