Job Details
This is an opportunity for a talented debt finance lawyer to join one of the most respected debt finance practices in the City. The London banking team is key to the M&A, restructuring and debt capital markets practices at the firm and has continued to see a healthy flow of transactions in Europe both from institutional clients and European names. As well as supporting these practices, the team undertakes several stand-alone debt finance assignments, particularly in continental European jurisdictions, with other firms doing the M&A work.
The team has stayed busy since the onset of the global financial crisis, both on the back of debtor work and by generating work from debt fund clients who invest in leveraged and/or distressed debt, and there has been a step-change in the volume and intensity of demand for finance support on restructuring matters as well as a continuing uptick in restructuring-related financing work.
The team can currently accommodate a 5 or 6 PQE associate from a leading London law firm with experience of acting for lenders on high value banking transactions (including leveraged finance) as well as special situations. The successful individual will be ambitious, committed and enjoy working within smaller teams. This is a fantastic role that offers genuine prospects of promotion to partner and pays one of the best salaries available on the market.
