Tax Litigation

The London tax team is an integral part of this international firm's global tax practice which acts for a diverse range of clients in the corporate and financial arena such as multinational corporates, financial institutions and private equity houses along with clients within a wide range of sectors, including high technology, media, telecoms, energy, mining, oil and gas, chemicals, construction, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

An increasing part of the work is contentious in nature and the firm is keen to add to its existing contentious tax offering with the hire of an experienced solicitor.

This is a team with ambitious growth plans, so this is a role that will allow you to develop your skills and progress your career. There will also be the opportunity for you to provide input in the overall strategy of the Tax practice and to be actively involved in business development.

The work will include:
-assisting clients on audits, enquiries and investigations
-managing cases including instructing Counsel, developing the case strategy, undertaking disclosure exercises, preparing witness statements, drafting pleadings, assisting with ADR mediation and advising a client on Tribunal and appeal hearings

The team has a different mindset being a mix of lawyers, tax advisors, economists and accountants which work as a cohesive team across these disciplines in both the London office and globally to provide extremely high level tax and contentious expertise within a collegiate culture.
