Assistant General Counsel
A rapidly growing challenger bank is seeking a lawyer for a brand new role within their legal function. This role will report directly into the general counsel and will cover a very broad range of work across the organisations 4 key businesses. This will be the banks 2nd lawyer so there is scope to get involved in work that lawyers at this level may not normally gain access to.
The role will be very varied and will involve the successful candidate working on a wide range of things including business change, M&A, contentious matters, corporate advisory work, third party and customer arrangements and data protection.
As a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years pqe you will have had experience in at least one of the following 4 areas, asset finance, savings products, mortgages or property finance. You will work across all 4 area which will allow for a very broad scope of work. Ideally you will have had training from a top city law firm and some secondment experience or a period of working in-house but this is not essential. The role will involve senior stakeholder exposure from the off so good communication skills are key.
